Jewish Barcelona, Personally Guided
Exclusive private Jewish and cultural tours across Barcelona and Catalonia, led by Evgenia Kempinski.
Hi, I'm Evgenia (Jane) Kempinski.
I'm a passionate guide, storyteller, and Jewish heritage expert with over 20 years of experience.
I was born and raised in St. Petersburg in a Jewish family with roots across Eastern Europe. After six wonderful years in Israel, I made Barcelona my home and today I lead private Jewish and cultural tours across Barcelona and Catalonia.

Over the years, I’ve guided hundreds of meaningful Jewish heritage and general sightseeing tours across Russia and Eastern Europe, and for the past six years I’ve also been giving online lectures on Jewish history, culture, and memory.

My interests are broad — from medieval Jewish manuscripts to classical and modern art, from Sephardic journeys to Ashkenazi traditions. I love finding connections between history, culture, and the personal stories we carry with us.

For me, travel is not just about sightseeing — it’s about understanding, reflection, and connection.

I would be delighted to guide you through the Jewish and cultural heritage of Barcelona, Girona, Besalú, and other Catalan towns with warmth, depth, and insight.
A Story from Medieval Barcelona: The Sarajevo Haggadah
This is an hour-long recording of my talk on the Sarajevo Haggadah - an illuminated Jewish manuscript created in medieval Barcelona.
